Special Pots

Goudsmit UK have a broad range of special pots designed for specific applications within industry. These include

Electro magnets are used when the application requires the magnetic field to be switched on and off. They can either be adhesive, the magnetic field is active when the magnet is switched on or permanent adhesive, the magnetic field is permanent and deactivated when the electric current is switched on. We have a broad range of sizes available with an ultra flat version available where space may be an issue. If required we can also supply power supplies required for the electro magnets.

Welding magnets can be used to retain and accurately position work pieces when welding, soldering, fitting, marking off, etc. Goudsmit welding magnets, which are available in fixed, adjustable and controllable models, neither affect the welding arc nor magnetizing the work piece. These magnets are, of course, resistant to high temperature, but are also lightweight and highly durable.

Meter stands with magnetic bases (also separately available) for use during measurement operations in workshops and tool making shops. The standard meter stands are adjustable, durable and stable. Special models are also available with extra features, such as extra fine adjustment and hydraulic clamps.

Clamping plates are very handy accessories for grinding, drilling, milling and spark erosion operations. They are highly stable, safe, require little maintenance and enable short set-up times. These systems comprise extremely high quality magnets, which ensure highly durable magnetic forces. The spark erosion plates feature separate 'islands' which can be individually engaged and disengaged. This enables the simultaneous clamping of 10 individual products, for instance.

Heavy duty lifting magnets are used to lift steel plates and blocks and to move ingots and scrap. However, they are also suitable for an almost countless number of other conceivable applications. If the ferromagnetic products manufactured in your works are difficult to handle due to their irregular shape or high temperature, then a manual lifting magnet may prove useful.

Concrete magnets are intended to be used for securely fixing concrete jigs. The piece of work contains a handle with which the magnet can be easily applied. In this way panels, beams, fences and jigs can be kept in their places. The piece of work can then be loosened again using the handle, without any damage. This flexible system saves time, money and manpower. In addition, the weight of the magnet is only 7.5 kg while the lifting power is 17,200 N.
