Pots

Pot magnets position ferromagnetic items quickly and easily to the required place. Due to their construction these magnet systems have only one surface of magnetic attraction. As a result other items or machine parts in the vicinity of the pot magnet do not become magnetised.

Pot magnets retain their force indefinitely. Only increases in temperature and external magnetic fields can reduce their magnetic force.

Permanent pot magnets may not be exposed to radioactive and gamma radiation for long periods of time, as this will reduce their magnetic force. The maximum permissible temperature deploy ability is as follows.

Type

Maximum temperature

Alnico pot magnets

450ºC

Ceramic pot magnets

200ºC

Neoflux ® pot magnets

80ºC

Samarium-Cobalt pot magnets

200ºC

If you know that you will be exposing the magnet to alternating current fields or high temperatures for some time, we will advise you on the installation of the magnets in choosing the right pot magnet or to give the pot magnet a special coating.
