Due to the confidentiality agreements we have with the companies which we do subcontract manufacturing for we are unable to disclose specific details of products we have supplied. In order to give an idea of the extent of our capabilities, listed below are a number of areas which we have supplied to:

This list serves to illustrate how broad a range of industries we supply to and therefore the flexibility we have in developing different subcontract solutions for our customers. Goudsmit UK supply over 1 million subcontract products per annum.

Example

One example of where Goudsmit have developed a sub contract manufactured product which we are able to give some more detail on is a solution we developed in partnership with our sister company in Holland.

We were approached by Goudsmit Systems to develop a better solution for a magnetic clamp application where the present product was not deemed to be as fit for purpose as it could be.

A number of ideas were developed and then a grid analysis carried out to establish which solution would be best in terms of cost, functionality, ease of manufacture and appearance. By employing this method it was ensured that the disadvantages and advantages of a number of different solutions were highlighted and the optimum solution selected.

Using our design skills and tools the solution developed brought together a number of the different products within our range, namely turned parts, magnets and injection mouldings.

Working with our supply chain in Asia prototype models were developed to verify functionality of the design. The cost for producing these models was greatly reduced in comparison with developing them within Western Europe. Dimensions and quality of the prototype were verified in China and also a second QA check was carried out in Holland with dimensions be verified on a CMM machine.

Once this stage was complete we had the assurance required to proceed to mass production. The final assembly is fully boxed with marking, labeling and instructions included and is distributed throughout Europe from our warehouse in Holland. The resultant product eliminated the problems with present designs on the market place.
